The Art O'Neil Challenge, Jan. 2012

The Art O Neill Challenge is an arduous trek from Dublin Castle in Dublin city centre to the Glenmalure Valley in south Wicklow, re-tracing the escape route of Art O Neill and Red Hugh O Donnell in 1592.

500 hardy souls signed up for the 2012 challenge and left Dublin castle on Friday night in three groups, the walkers at midnight and those running all, or part of the way, at 2.00am and 1.15am respectively.

The route stayed on tramac and frosty roads as far as check point 1 at Kilbride Army camp and then headed cross country to Checkpoint 2 in Glenbride for breakfast! All that was left then was a hike over to Glenmalure via Art's cross

We took around 3,000 shots on Friday and Saturday so if don't see yourself in one of the galleries or there's a shot with you half hidden behind someone else mail us with the file name and we'll see what other shots we have.
